This is a plant that I've been growing for years trying to make a nice specimen plant. The plant was growing in New Zealand Sphagnum Moss but the moss has since deteriorated and has over the years turned to dust and fallen out of the basket. The plant is grown in a shady area and watered at least daily.

Beautiful! How will you manage watering now that the substrate has gone? I have the same problem with my bulbo Elizabeth Ann

The plant seems to be doing well without any media. The root system seems to have formed its own substrate by themselves. I have been watering the plant in the morning and evening. It likes to be kept damp probably because there is no media. The wood basket that is holding the plant together is also very deteriorated and is falling apart. When the flowers dry up I plan to replace the basket and not use any media. By the way the plant measures 24 inches tall and 18 inches at its widest point.
