Could be! I do have an Cynorkis uncinata (given to me by a friend) that is huge and very robust. The most mature tubers/bulbs are the size of medium onions. None of my other Cynorkis are that large and neither are my Habs. I've only been growing them a few years so I feel I probably still have a lot to learn/discover.
The one thing I've noticed w/many of these guys that I've repotted is that the baby tuber/bulblets tend to separate very easily when repotted. They just kind of fall apart from each other, like crocus bulbs. I had no intention of dividing my Cynorkis gibbosa or Habenaria (red) rhodocheila...they just divided themselves. ?? My medusaes didn't fall apart but after the previous repots, I was very careful to move the entire "ball" into the new pot...shaking off only part of the media and getting them into the new pots as undisturbed as possible.
