Tommy I really like the Mediocalcar; reminds me of candy corn!

I hadn't heard of the Kool logs before, but the concept makes perfect sense. I currently have a large orchid (Coelogyne cristata) growing in a home-made zeer, which also cools the plant through evaporation.

So jealous Dea :-) That is the plant I am desperately hoping to send a spike, I just love the blooms! I can;t wait to see your pictures! Mine came in pretty bad shape last year May, it is stable now, has three leaves and many healthy roots, so I hope it will spike somehow this year, it was definitely sat back with the import stress and condition it arrived, glad I even saved it!

I love to use kool logs, it definitely helps me to grow many intermediate species outside year round, and nearly all plants mounted on them seems to love it!

Looks great. I restrained myself from buying one at Brookside Orchids. I watered all of my orchids before the visit to remind me what a pain it is. They had them and pots and yours looks much nicer mounted.

Gorgeous! I've been shying away from this one for a couple years because of the cool growing tag.
Perhaps, if its blooming for you, then it might do well for me in one of my setups

You should definitely give it a try, your weather is colder than the one we have here in Miami, so it should grow well for you :-)
