I'll get pics up in a bit, but yes the leaves are as braided as any Lockhartia. Most folks who see it think at first it's a Zygocactus, even a friend who keeps a few orchids!

Nice! I don't have setigera, but I do have an undescribed Oberonia from Andy's that they call Oberonia sp. "braided leaves", and another coming that they call O. sp "Laos". I don't know what color the braided one's blooms are,( and if it never blooms it's still a beautiful plant!) but the Laos is supposedly similar to setigera. It's both intriguing and frustrating how little info there is out there on this genus!

I have setigera and it's gearing up for it's best bloom ever...7 or 8 spikes this year. And, it's still in a 2" pot.
I also have the braided one from Andy's but I thought it was ID'd as oligotricha. ??? ID or not...it's not doing as well as the setigera. I've struggled w/it for about 2yrs and it just doesn't look good.

Thanks for the info on how you're growing it (same or not)...I've suspected my issues might be humidity related. Maybe? Mine is growing but the growths don't look healthy. It almost looks beat up and the new growths keep getting stuck in the other foliage. [if that makes sense] ?? If it's a humidity issue then it'll either stay ugly or I'll get tired of messing w/it and it'll go away.

oh no!!!! don't let it die !!! I wonder why its not doing well how much humidity do you grow yours in?
