Default Butterwort reblooms

Happy to see my butterwort reblooming It divided itself into 5 plants over the winter and I repotted them. Only one plant has rebloomed so far, but the others are doing well. One of the 2 flowers is missing a petal. Hmm. Still cute though. I think it's a pinguicula ehlersiae?

I have started a thread last week.

I will add a new photo when two additional flowers open, which will be in a few days.

do you water with distilled water ? I changed to tap water- I get Lake water which is supposedly similar to rain water - and have noticed no ill-effects.

I did water with distilled months ago, but changed to tap water. I live in Oakville, right next to Lake Ontario, which is where our water is from Maybe the missing petal has to do with the potting mix? All I had was sphagnum, and I hear they're supposed to be potted in sand/peat moss.

mine are all in sphagnum mixed with a little fine bark and do very well....don't mess with success. Mine bloom regularly. I just had 5 blooms on the biggest.

What kind of light do you have them in? I'm always afraid they'll fry, but they seem happiest in front of the cattleyas.

under T5's.
One group - doing much better - is about 15 inches under and also gets some shade from bigger plants. Temps max out at about 72f. This group also gets a bit of indirect midday sun through the basement windows for about 1/2 hour.
The other- about 8-10in under, with no shading. Temps reach into 80's.
My conclusion, after the above experiment for about 9 months, is that they prefer lower light levels and lower temps.....however both groups flowered and have lush leaf growth !
