Default Sobrallia callosa

Sobrallia callosa - probably the smallest of Sobrallias, which allows even me to grow one! Bought last year as near blooming size, it is giving me great pleasure already this year, first bud opened in the morning, and there is many others ready to open soon! Sad they are short lived and last only one day (or so I heard). No scent. Do not believe what it says online regarding the temps, I grow this one outside year round in Florida and obviously it loves it (orchid species says cold growing). Regular watering, I do let it dry in between waterings, lots and lots of light, it gets full direct afternoon sun till the evening, regular fertilizing. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

I love how small and manageable it is in size. That might even be a candidate for growing under lights on a light stand as long as it's not a full sun plant.

Sobralias are pretty cool, but yes, the flowers typically only last a day, perhaps sometimes two days. I feel like I've sniffed some that were fragrant.

No fragrance on this one, bloom did last only for one day, but there is another bud forming right at the same cane, and other once have buds forming too, so I hope at some day to have few blooms open at the same time:-)

Welcome, this was bought as near blooming size last year,it did grow a bunch of new canes in past 10 months. I do provide really a lot of light, it's in the brightest spot at the balcony and it has direct late afternoon sun, it seems to appreciate it:-)
Best of luck with yours!
