Cynorkis guttata
Got Cynorkis guttata in flower recently, (about 3 weeks ago).
Originates from Madagascar, don't know where specifically.
Don't have specifics on this species, but I suspect it grows like other lithophytic Habenarias - in between the crevices of limestone rocks. Makes sense considering that Madagascar has limestone formations, so I really wouldn't be too surprised if this just all of a sudden came out as a fact.
Here're a couple of closeup photos of some of the flowers.
The third photo is the head.

For anyone who wanted to know…
The dorsal sepal is the hood. Directly underneath the dorsal sepal, the flower's 2 petals make the hood look like it has a rim.
The 2 tusk-like projections evident in the second photo are not petals, they are where the pollinia are hidden.
The 2 floral segments that are on the side, those are the lateral sepals.
Of course, the showiest part of the flower is the huge 4 lobed lip.

Mine is about to finish blooming as well. Its got a few more blooms before it's really done.
These are perhaps one of the most impressive Habenarids out there. Not many have flowers so large and colorful.
Check this out...
The pollinia - they're not yellow. They're a different color.

What a beauty! It is just spectacular!
With many of the orchids likely to soon disappear in Madagascar, it is always good to see the various species conserved in collections.
