Default Encyclia Tampensis - propagation

Hi, I am John Rees, Sarasota Fl , beginner. I have several clusters of E tamp which have 6-9 p-bulbs. Can I split them up ?

The standard recommendation I live by is a bare minimum of 2 old, 1 mature, and 1 new growth per division.

It is good to have standards ! How exactly do you define old, mature and new growths?

I think "old": previously matured; "mature": recently matured with "new" growth on it.

Mostly, you want at least 3 mature growths plus at least one new.
