Phaius wallichii doesn't flower; P. tankervilliae always flowers! Male
Default Phaius wallichii doesn't flower; P. tankervilliae always flowers!

I have one of each. I grow them side by side. They share everything. Sun, water, fertilizer, media--everything is identical.

Phaius tankervilliae never fails to flower profusely, annually.

Phaius wallichii never flowers.

I have cared for the current pair about 5 years. I had a previous pair many years ago--same results.

Anyone with some sage advice to offer? Obviously, I'm missing something. I don't have a clue.
