Default Calanthe vestita fma. rubro-oculata
Grown over the summer in a mix for terrestrials with pumice grit, clay pellets, quartzy sand, peat, potting soil and medium coarse fir bark, this East Asian species received the same care as Thunia and Eulophia. When in November the deciduous leaves have fallen off, the long winter rest begins, which culminates in one or two long flower spikes per bulb. Easy to grow, not scented.

Lovely flowers! But, unfortunately, that long flower stem will keep it out of my collection.
