Hope they don't tear down that piece of history. Good luck! Nice photos!

The historical GH are "safe", the Rodin's sculptures too, but the whole place is 100% under protection (including the new GH for collections) but even the state council did not agree on this. The collections are exceptional on other domains than orchids (the orchid collection is so-so but improving, one of the orchid society the AFCPO gives a hand and it's getting better and better), some are even the national botanic reference collection, and a move or the added GH on the project is just insane (afterthought GH certainly not efficient, added to greenwash the project).
Please relay the petition. International pressure is good for us.
I'll add flowers each time I'll visit the GH. I was testing my new camera, it'll get even better.

That's a shame that they're considering expanding the tennis courts at the expense of any part of a botanical garden (orchids or not). I too hope that the authorities are unsuccessful in their effort, which seems rather short-sighted.

The garden was cut one third already in the 70s for the nearby peripheral highway. Now it's the mission itself they are at. It's not a garden to be cute with masterpieces of patrimony, only but a botanical collection (Paris has 4, this one is the second oldest, after the MNHM national natural history museum, The Museum as we call it)
(BTW, the Museum has his herbarium back and its 8 million specimen digitalized, with a renovated botanic gallery, enjoy!)
Now some names… : - Ludisia discolor
- Angraecum…
- Paphiopedilum delophyllum ?
- Vanilla humblotii
- Brassanthe Maikai Mayumi
- Masdevallia…
- Cattleya labiata
- Oncidium ?
- Masdevallia…
- Cattleya percivaliana
- Masdevallia bicolor
- Cattleya percivaliana
- Calanthe sedenii ?

BTW, a few days ago, the prefect of the Seine (Paris department) was ruling the local sites and patrimony commission, and the project was to be examined. They voted for it, even if it's in total contradiction with the site protection ruling this gardens are under.
Just another crazy ruling to contest in this story.
Please, sign the petition, make it signed in the orchid societies, we don't have large public orchid collections and they are on the way to kill one along with other botanic collections of reference that are in the other GH.

Did they let you in both orchid houses? Last time I went they unlocked the cool orchid house but wouldn't let me in the warm one! I went on two separate days, locked both times!
It will be hard to convince people to save something they're not allowed to see!

I also signed the petition. Next time I'm in Paris, I'll try to visit this garden.
