I just found this thread, and like Orchid Whisperer, I looked at the natural range and was amazed to see that it's been reported from as far north as central Arkansas - in fact, in the next county over from where I spent my childhood. I've been into native plants for decades now, but I've never seen this one.
I'm definitely going to check out the sources that have been posted (maybe it can join the Spiranthes in our bathtub bog), and I'm also going to email a state botanist I know to ask where the heck this thing grows so I can go see it in the wild next year!
