Default It's Habenaria time!

It's Habenaria time at Fishing Creek! Check out these beautiful Habenarias flowering in the greenhouse!!

Hab. erichmaelii

Hab. rhodocheila 'Even Brighter' Named so because it is even brighter than 'Electric tangerine' which was awarded an AM. This one just went out of bloom right before the show.

Hab. Tracey (erichmaellii x rhodocheila 'Even Brighter'); this one is a cross between the two flowers above. I don't know if the erichmaelii pictured above is the exact clone that was the pod parent, but rhodocheila 'Even Brighter' was used as the seed parent.

These are fantastic! The shapes are so unusual. Do they bloom once a year?

If anyone if planning in attending the NCOS show, I think we should have some Habenarias for sale there.
