Hello everyone
I bought a goodyera pubescens the other day at a plant sale along with 134 other plants (I think i have a problem). Anyway I was wondering how to grow this plant. I'd like to try to grow it in a container as I plan on moving next year. I live in south central Pennsylvania and I've seen them growing in the woods not too far from here. I don't think climate will be a problem. Any info on watering and potting media would be great
Thank you
Karl
Well drained, but don't let it dry out too much. I keep mine in a tank with 89% humidity, and water it maybe once a week or every other week. I'd check to see what kind of detritus or debris is around those orchids, and plant it in some of that.
okay, i'll get some of the mulm around the wild ones. Is there a way to grow it outside or would it be best to keep in a terrarium. I have a 55 gallon that I grow my intermediate-warm orchids in with about 700 foot-candles of light near the bottom.
