Phaius Dan Rosenberg 'Tropic Ice'
This is a plant given to me in August 2011 by BikerDoc5968 of Bloomfield, Michigan. He was nice enough to share this plant with me. I hope he is still on this forum so he can see the plant in bloom. The flower stem is 30 inches tall and still growing. The flowers measure 4 inches horizontally. I have the plant growing in a 6-inch plastic pot with Miracle Grow potting mix as the media. It bloomed for the first time last year but I was away on a trip and the flowers were past prime for photographing.

Stunning. Lovely colors and so elegant.
Are you sure it is in Miracle Grow potting media? Regular or orchids mix? Miracle grow has both. I read somewhere that it should not be grown in regular soil mix.
I saw a Phaius tankerville yesterday and that was very beautiful too.Did not buy it though...too expensive.

I read somewhere that Phaius can grow in the ground so I decided to try growing this plant with Miracle Grow potting mix. It seems to be doing really well. Note that I used potting "mix" and not potting "soil". Miracle Grow sells both in similar looking bags.

Mel, thanks for sharing. I'm glad it is doing so well for you. It is a real beauty. I still have several divisions and never a bloom. Maybe I should move to Hawaii!
