I have a plant that I have had for a number of years that just seemed to languish and never did really well. I re-potted it in mid summer using quality long fiber sphagnum moss. It stays very moist but never soggy and I am amazed how it has improved. A friend of mine has one growing in her kitchen window for years in plain water and it looks good.
