I have yet to see Vanda types at either HD or Lowes?

It is always exciting when something is coming into bloom

They have them all the time at the HD I go to. The bagged orchid types, which make me cringe.
I got a Colmanara Wildcat about a month ago at Lowes--for a $1!!! The manager said it was in bad shape. Little did he know, it was in spike and had a beautiful root system. Granted it was a little on the dry side, but I took care of that. The flower spike is about 10 in. long now

It sure is exciting when you see spikes coming. I also have on in spike at the moment. It's so fascinathing. Congratulations.

Yes! I'm dying here! And, to add to the excitement, I just realized that the gardenia I took from my mother had two flower buds!! When I got her she was literally on the brink of death. I never knew I had a green thumb
