Habenaria erichmichelii
Default Habenaria erichmichelii

I am told that this is the correct name for this plant, but I don't care what the real name is since most people recognize it when they see it. I've had it for nearly 20 years and it's bloomed like clockwork every summer. The fragrance is great too.

JPMC,

Very nice, good growing! You've had this for 20 years??

I got one of these the end of last summer in flower. Neglected it all winter and it came back. Has 2 nice rosettes but no signs of blooms. May I ask how your growing yours to see what I may or may not be doing right.

Thanks!

Judi

Thanks for the interest.

I grow it in half-sun (cattleya light) with daytime temps 80F+ in the summer and night at about 65F in the summer. I water to keep it moist in the summer and keep it bine dry and slightly cooler in the winter. It is also fond of fertilizer in the summer.
