This is, unfortunately, soooo common! I can't tell you the number of times I've seen native orchid species descimated by careless or unforgiving or thoughtless photographers. I practice "tread-lightly" tactics when photographing in nature and wish everyone else would as well. Thanks for reminding us. |

Melbourne temperatures are roughly eqivalent to Zone 9. Winters are cool here (mean max 14oC/mean min 5oC, brief minimums to 0oC) but summers are warm (mean max 25oC/mean min 12oC, up to maximums of 40+oC). The range extends up into Queensland so tolerable winter minimums are no doubt higher. Availability would be more of an issue. This species is hard to source in Australia, let alone the rest of the world. There are other similar Pterostylis that are probably easier to get in the US. |

They are great examples Andrew. Looks like you've grown them well. They appear to be quite even in height which is always an achievement.
