Default Caularthron bicornutum from dead spikes to blooms...

This one puts up 4 new spikes for me every year and this year was no exception; however, the winter that we had and my inability to keep the orchid room warm enough caused all four spikes to blast
Surprisingly one spike died back, but threw a new spike off to the side...yippee!
So I actually got a few flowers as a consolation!

Neat one. Don't you just love a plant that determined to bloom!

I got a flask from Troy last year and managed to kill all but one plant
I grow this one in fairly bright light and not a whole lot of water...and keep them warm in the winter!
I tend to do all the wrong things with this species, but she overlooks most of it... I water too much and she just keeps growing up out of the pot to avoid it
I don't keep it warm enough in the winter, but she usually springs back just fine. Hopefully that problem will be solved this Winter and she'll get to show off next Spring.

Just a side note, but the one plant to survive the deflasking is mounted on cork.
