Capanemia superflua in bloom
I have this one listed as ulignosa, but I think it's now superflua. This miniature has the most wonderful scent!

What a great mini.
I've never heard of capanemia before. I love the collection of blooms in the second photo - it seems so orderly.
Are they difficult to keep? Must they be mounted or can they be kept in pots?
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks J,
I've only ever seen them mounted. It has been an easy keeper for me! I have them hanging under some of my other plants, so they get diffused bright light and that seems to keep them blooming every year. Usually once I have a plant bloom, it's stuck in it's place, as I fear that if I move it, I will disrupt things...

Cute little Oncidium relative, and extremely well grown. Thanks for sharing. Looks like superflua is correct for 'uliginosa', at least for registration purposes. Though it seems there are no hybrids within or involving this genus. Find some kind of Oncidium-related pollen to put on that and be the first! It certainly looks like good breeding stock.
