I thought I had posted Sarcoglottis metallica before, but I quick search showed that I hadn't. This species is very beautiful even when not in bloom due to the silver patterns on the leaves. It is a terrestrial of the forest floor, sneaking the hairy, thick roots into the bed of decaying vegetal matter, always in very humid and relatively dark places. The type flowers are brownish while the alba greenish, both very fragrant during the day!
