Angry Arrrggghhh! RAT B@$+@RD!!!! My Habenaria myriotricha tuber rotted!

I dug it out of the pot today just because I was curious about what was going on underneath all the potting medium, and I was totally greeted to a half rotted tuber.

This blows. And now I'm having a hard time finding information on the web about whether or not Habenaria tubers have multiple eyes on the surface or just one at the top.

If the thing's got one at the top, I pretty much know what's up.

If it's got multiples, I'm still in the game.

So which is it? One or many?

It's also now sitting in a cup after being disinfected with hydogen peroxide and ethyl alcohol.

GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

Man...FUDGE MONKEY!

I just read some info on tubers on wikipedia.

Habenarias produce root tubers. They only have one "eye" at the top.

Stem tubers such as potatoes are the ones with multiple nodes containing multiple "eyes".

Blast it!
