Default Phaius tankervilleae

This was a Home Depot purchase a few years ago...$15.00!

It has 6 spikes on it this time

I'm attaching a picture of the bloom when it first opens and the petals are wide open...and just next to it is what the bloom looks like after a few hours when the dorsal petal droops.

The second picture is of a mutant bloom, it's almost as if the lip was separated down the center and each side attached itself to the petals...a serious case of confusion!
The bloom right above it on the plant and all the others are perfect...go figure!

That is beautiful it sure looks like a really big plant or the dog and pool are very small Beautiful flowers and wonder why the 2nd pic flower was so confused, it is still beautiful though I love the colours.

That plant is nice and big. You did a great job.
What a deal for $15.00. You must be extremely proud.
I know I would be.
Nice pool BTW!

Very nice, Sue! It's interesting to see how (and when) others' are blooming. Mine is already almost finished blooming. Yours is a nice one.

Wow, great plant and what pretty blooms. The mutent one really is confused isn't it.

I wish I had space for such big 'chids.
