Default Polystachya estrellensis

Small flowers clustered in pyramidal spikes on the floral stem make it a nice view. The plant is intermediate in size and the floral stem can be relatively long as can be see in one of the photos. It is commonly found here in the southeastern Brazil. Sometimes plants with cleistogamic flowers are found and then all you can see are small pods!
Here in Brazil we have two or three species belonging to this genus, all of them with small, yellowish-green flowers. The showier, larger flowered species are found in Africa.

I do really love the more uncommon species

Thanks to you for sharing so many of your great chids with us

It was your Polystachya foliosa that prompted me to get a compot of that one a few weeks ago
