A quick and easy terrarium for a few seedlings can be made from a plastic pop (soda) bottle with a black bottom - I think some of the companies still make them this way. The bottom can be pulled off (it's glued on) and the clear top part reversed with the very top (including the spout) cut off - it then makes a small terrarium good for growing a few seedlings.

Cool looking jewells you've got there! I think I may have to start looking around for some myself...

Default Macodes sanderiana tray

Here is a nice photo of a tray of Macodes sanderiana that are advanaced seedlings. These are now flowering size as the plants flower when very small. It will be interesting to see how large the leaves get when they are older.

thanks yes i agree it is such a beautiful species. I'd have to say my favourite of the jewels. I certainly never get sick of looking at them. Its almost hard to believe the pattern and colouration. Its almost hypnotic. They are truly amazing plants. All the best with you obtaining a plant or plants or this species.

Flask arrived today. The agar seems to have really come apart in transit. Bit of a mess really but the plants all look fine from what I can tell. Just about to plant them out now because I don't think it can wait.
