Trying out European terrestials
Default Trying out European terrestials

I recently bought 3 species of european terrestrial orchids from tarzane group, Ophrys lutea, Ophrys fuciflora and Anacamptis papilionacea. I just received them today and wanted to talk about and share what im doing with them. They're way bigger than expected (im used to the tiny corybas ones lol) I got some pots prepared and potted them in a mix of akadama, pumice, charcoal, extremely tiny bit of sand+perlie and orchiata bark, plus some mycorrhizae for fun and spread it on and around the tubers. I potted the tubers up with the side that has a little hole in it. Growing them indoors because the climate isnt very ideal outdoors, im gonna try doing it year round since the summers are too wet and humid and the winter is too cold. I could temporarily grow them outdoors although i dont see a benefit for doing that for 2 months then bringing them in, plus i dont want pests attacking them immediately when they leaf out. I'll try to update this as time goes on
