I just bought a plant that looks very much like the one pictured above. It is labelled Zgnsa. 'Blue Birds'. Now I have to find out what Zgnsa. stands for.
I beleive its a cross of a Zygopetalum and an Aganisia. All of my sources say that the correct abbreviation for this cross is Zns. but Ive always seen it as Zgnsa. So maybe someone else will know for sure....Dorthy
You are right,Paul. After some research I found that the grower had made up Zgnsa. to use instead of the real abbreviation, Zns. for Zyganisia (Aganisia X Zygopetalum). These complex names may drive me crazy!
Anyway my plant has purple and white blossoms marked like the above picture.
