I'm guessing seed pods will be ready in about 7 months from pollination.

Sure, no problem. I gotta remind myself too!
Yeah, that was weird how on the Internet Orchid Encyclopedia it says it grows in Colombia, but the flowers look like the ones in your picture growing in Ecuador.
Would it be a bother for the Sobralia crocea too?

Sure not!!
I´ll collect the seeds of S. crocea for you too, but for me is so difficult to grow... three plants that I picked up died... maybe you need some of the conditions near the road... this plants are terrestrial ... they need a poor soil ... direct sun (maybe 1/2 day) and lots of water... anyway if you wish...

All I need to know is the kind of soil they grow in, (sand, rock - if it's rock, a general idea of what kind; volcanic, limestone, sandstone, etc., leaf litter, or humus). A picture of the ground it grows in is good.
Temperature (night and day if possible), altitude (doesn't have to be exact), humidity, and light exposure.
I can grow a lot of different kinds of orchids here. I can grow many different kinds of Masdevallias (cool to warm growing species only; the cold growing ones I can't, gets too hot in the summer).
Thank you very much.

MMMmmmmm lots of questions and I try to answer...
I´m not a geologist... but in this town are lots of stones volcanic .... pumice i think!!! 1 -2 cm of leaf litter ... and sandstone the color of the ground is light grey .... they grow in the pendant of the road 30 - 40 º
The temperature I think is intermediate: nights 15 º C and day 25ºC or more ...
This plants grows in the begining of the cloud forest at 2500 meters high...
Humidity high and direct sun light ... but this town is very cloud.... thats what I know, the photo of the ground ... pendent...
