Just got this yesterday. Mounted it upside-down so it can't collect water in the crown, but lemme tell ya, mounting this on there with all the leaves towards the light and that flower not smushed was a trick and a half. It had been growing upright on top of a little cedar mount.
I grow my Haraella odorata mounted upright. They get sprayed twice a day, year-round, and get essentially the same conditions as my Phals. I've never seen even a sign of a fungal or bacterial crown (or any other) issue with them. At least one of the two plants will always have a flower, and the fragrance is soft but pleasant.
I have one that I moved to a Kool-log. It is doing well with new growth since the move. I have mine "fans up". I mist it a few times a day and the Kool-log is moist. First I mounted it fans down but then I changed it the next day because it didn't seem right for the log.
