Any update on this? I'm getting white cobweb mold growing on my Masdevallia wendlandiana in my lantern, but it's working on a new growth and isn't rotting, so I'm trying not to stress about it and am just going to wait it out.

I had cobweb mold underneath my rock for a little. But it went away on its own.
Sure. I'll do an update tonight. It's not great.

Soo...
Update. A little late.
Life is busy, and honestly I'm discouraged.
Here it is.
Over the course of a few weeks I saw a significant amount of my mini orchids disappear...
The root tips on my recovering haraella. Holes in my platystele. Growth tips in my Pluerothallis calyptrostele. The bits that connect the leaves of the trichosalpinx.
And most of the leaves on my dendrobium parvulum, and the constantia.
I kept trying to fix whatever I was doing wrong.
Then I found this.
Not good.
I'm trying various treatments... They seem to have gone.
Anyway...
You may notice the constantia is missing. On top of the snails I really think it wasn't happy in there. So I moved it.
The parvulum I also don't think likes me too much. It's doing better than the constantia was. I really think it's my watering habit... can't figure out what it wants.
The punctata died.
Good news though.
Both Pluerothallis are doing well now.
The lepanthes is doing really well...
The platystele always has flowers.
Strange things are sprouting.
The lepanthopsis is spiking.

Ordphien, your lantern was my inspiration for growing minis along with seeing Tommy's beautiful collection. What you have created and maintained is beautiful and amazing! I envy your talent in creating this tiny world.
I have had a snail or two show up but have not had issues with them devouring plants. I keep a watchful eye on my plants every day. I'm so sorry you have had losses, it must be disheartening but hey try another plant. You will have that lantern glowing again soon. It is still beautiful as it is.

This east coast fan believes in you! Just like forest fires make lite of natures growth, they also lay the groundwork with springtime to recharge the earth. Whatever you can make happen I will look forward to seeing!

Sorry to hear about troubles, and losses, but hey, we ALL had them, have them and will have them, so please, don't get somehow discouraged or give up on this. With many orchids, you have to find what growing conditions fits them the best, and sometimes, even you want to grow them together in the same encounter, it just does not work ;-) Watch over watering, it should be easy to get rid of the snails in this small space (try to check at night, when they "peak out"), and have patience, and everything will get better ;-) I love this mini project of yours, and always look for the updates, so I hope next one will be positive and happy one!

Thank you.
These snails... They didn't really eat the plants. It was more like strategic munching.
One bite out of the lead growth on my Pluerothallis, the root tips on... I don't even wanna know how much. The haraella, parvulum, and constantia for sure.
The most annoying one is that they crunched through the bits that connect the leaves to the plant. Didn't eat the leaves. Just made them useless.

You're right. I'll work through this. It's just so upsetting.
The fire analogy was good. I relate alot to forest fires here in socal.
In fact I think we stop them too much. Alot of our native species aren't reseeding because they need a fire to activate growth.
And when we do get fires in areas we've stopped them they go really out of control.
I miss my big white flowers on my hill lol.
I wonder why they only went for some orchids?
My lepanthes, and astrophora were untouched.

Give up? No...
Discouraged? Very...
It's hard to be given so many great opportunities by the members of this board, and then watch them die in front of you.
You can't help shake the feeling of disappointment and embarrassment. Like you're failing their acts of generosity.
Silly I know.
I'm most upset about the parvulum and constantia. I really wanna get it right with these guys. And thus far...
Oh well... I'll press forward and learn from this.
And it's not like I'm not having some success. My issues with my lepanthes have resolved I think. And I finally have multiple spikes going.

See, we all learn in the process, and get better! I did kill so many, including my first parvulum blue, till I got stuff right. And I still do kill some, just a few months ago I got some 5 Hofmeisterella plants, after months, I have one left :-) (but than this one is pretty hard actually!). I just don't give up, till I decide to give up, I tried some species so many times and realized that I just can't grow them here ;-) But that is only "few" orchids, the rest, I try and try, and in time, I get better and better ;-) You'll too, no worries!
