Tommymiami, I was thinking of you yesterday. I found a glass cylinder at a rummage sale yesterday.
So do use hygrolon in all you cylinders? What exactly is it and where did you get it?

Hi Sharry, I have only one cylinder, talking about tall vase, I am using hygrolon in many other setups, hygrolon is special material that wicks water and is very airy and many orchids, especially miniatures that loves moisture, loves it! There is only one website in the USA that I know of - Folius. I get mine always from these guys. There should be some old posts about mine hygrolon cylinder of you are interested to check.

I know you have high humidity in your atmosphere but indoors could dry out the minis....you have a wonderful set up and your miniatures are happy and healthy.

So true Bud, it seems like nearly all the orchids love hygrolon, and pretty much my different indoor setups, even with the AC running day and night, the moss and water helps to keep humidity even for cold growing species, I had many Lepanthes already blooming inside, and many is growing new leaves and spikes just now.
