I'm investigating how to best create a good environment to keep lepanthes species, as I've recently grown very interested in this species, and came across this post. Wow, this is such a great set-up, Tommy. What a way to showcase such a beautiful plant. How is the plant faring these days? Good to know you've also grown lepanthopsis astrophora this way - another plant that has peaked my interest. Gives me hope! :-D
Keep up the good growing (and posts about your growing!!).

Renee many thanks, all plants in the glass orbs are doing GREAT, I have added many plants and more orbs ever since, this glass orb has now Lepanthes telipogoniflora in spike for months, Lepanthes tsubotae, the same, spiking nonstop, also Lepanthes telipogonifloraxLepanthes calodictyon, spiking already too. I have another orbs, with Lepanthopsis, also Platystele, mini Masdevallia erinacea, Lepanthes calodictyon, they are all growing like crazy!

Tommy, where do you find the live moss you've used in some of your setups? It always looks so nice! I'm starting to experiment with a terrarium, and I think some moss might be a nice addition. I love this little set-up! I have a globe like this in my closet somewhere...it housed a tillandsia...which i promptly killed haha

Reeses, either ordered live moss combo packs from ebay, including different mosses or pure life sphagnum moss which I grow in tall vase and have always some supplies. Also, when I do go to Colorado, I try to collect some and bring with me, since it is the same stuff I buy off the ebay anyways :-)
