Day to night during winter is approx 12 degrees F. 74 degrees F during day (most days) and 62 degrees night.

Thank you all for your words of encouragement ..
Tindo - .. frog droppings .. you say .. .. I don't think there are any frogs outside this time of the year for me to squeeze ..
I do have a 10° difference at night so that should help encourage blooming but I have to give it a chance to adapt to it's new environment .. so I had better calm down
Becca - I really like tomfoolery29 as he was in constant contact with me until I received my orchid. From the time I quickly paid, to when he mailed out the orchid and even after, his responses were immediate and reassuring. I would not hesitate to buy from him again!
I'd love to know what you won from Baldan's - there is always that next phal I find that I'd love to get from them! I'm looking forward to that thread!

Dorothy -- The 2 most important things to remember to have success with this species is:

1) give it as much sun as it will take without burning
2) let it dry out between waterings

Thanks again for the kind recommendation

Welcome to the OB Tom! I Just thought I would say hi....I found your listing you have on ebay from Dorothy's recommendation...I was the one who emailed you and asked you about the "Buy-it-now" option.

You are very welcome, Tom and thanks again for this great little orchid. Glad you came out of lurking
I already moved it to higher light and because I grow my orchids indoors but not in an orchidarium - my humidity at this time is quite low - I found it dried out pretty well throughout the night ( The moss was crunchy by morning). Is that enough time to consider it 'dry between waterings?'
I do mist in the mornings and throughout the day.
Thanks, Sue -- I'm excited about this one blooming, too!
Oh Becca, I see you just can't resist

Thanks everyone....I am am not a big seller and I am not in it to make a huge profit. My real goal is to share my healthy/vigoruos growing plants during the early spring after dividing and again in late fall to clear space when everything comes back inside. I like to trade more than sell but there comes a time I need to part with plants to make room.

Dorothy -- if the moss was "crunchy" then I would say it was dry enough to water.
