Just got this miniature Vanda alliance guy, Ascocentrum miniatum. When they said mini they weren't kidding!

(Passport included for size reference, couldn't find a ruler)

Looks like a neo! Oh, but this one is just cute! How adorable it will be in flower. And it looks happy too.

What a cute little thing! I'm going to be looking at miniatures next, since I'm out of space.

i have noticed that! I have some sitting inside my vanda baskets. That way they get good light. Actually, they aren't miniatures. They are seedling rhynchorides and aeridovanda. i will eventually have a problem of where to put them!

I love it! I have ascocentrum pumilum. It is a little one, too.

I have been trying to buy only mini orchids these past few years but my weakness for large cattleyas steers me off course now and then.

I have the problem that I really love big flowers.
But bright colours like that ascocentrum--I can deal with that. I could fit a few that size in.

That is a happy healthy plant....it reminds me of a Neo and I think you can do the samurai method of wrapping it in moss and put it in a pot and place it in your brightest window....
unless you have a terrarium or a GH where the humidity and temperature can be met for this kind of mounted Vandacious plant.

I see you are acquainted with Kawamoto Orchids too. I just got my A. miniatum a day or so ago. Let's see if we can keep them alive long enough to bloom.
