Thanks for all kind words.
Bolero, it is said that Sophronitis is very sensitive for degrades substrate. This plant is mounted on cork (without spagnum moss) that I have mounted on Epiweb. The roots just shoots into the epiweb! It has recieved high light intensities and got water everyday during the summer but has dried fast. I think you should consider to at least replant your coccinea and if you can mount it.

Thanks Magnus, I have some cork I can mount it on to so I will give that a try this weekend. It's heading into summer here now so it's the perfect time to try anyway.
Thanks again.

I just realiced that I did not show this coccinea with the flower fully open. It did look even better then! Unfortunate I almost lost this plant to rot this winter but it seems I saved two bulbs.....

Wow, what a gorgeous bloom. I have one that hasn't done much, hopefully it will liven up soon.

Great culture! And yes, with Sophronitis the flowers get bigger as they get older!
This clone seems to be a wild type diploid form, which is supposed to be more difficult to bloom.
I cheated a little and got a tetraploid form thats a bit more vigorous ,and therefore a little easier to bloom.
Congratulations
