Chiloschista parishii

This leafless species is in my terrarium most of the year, with a bit of a dry rest early winter to trigger blooming.
Annual bloom in late spring, and more spikes every time (4 this year)!
The red markings on newly opened flowers fade after 2 days then the flowers stay yellow.

Does this one grow well with air movement or is it like the leafless orchids in Florida that prefer stagnant air? What about lighting levels, temps and size of the plant?

Lots of air movement for this one
In my terrarium with fan on 20 hours a day
Misting 3 times a day, under t5 Ho (10" below)
Temps inside terrarium are btw 25 Celsius day- 18 Celsius night
The whole plant is less than 10 inches diameter

Excellent! I have a viridiflava that I bought in spike. The spikes have not grown and it is hard to tell if they have set bud or will. Do these plants take a long time to set buds on mature/ semi mature spikes? Do you believe it would be appropraite to cut the spikes because the plant has started two new growths? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

On my plant, the spikes have started growing in january and the bud starting opening last week only...
If your plant is big enough, I would let it do waht it wants, spikes and new growths at the same time is not a problem, if the plant is small or weak, cut the spikes, it will make new ones when it is healthy again
