I grow it wet, under glass for the most part, open the top to let fresh air in. Bright shade. Warm-intermediate, the disaster happened at 57°F. I added live spanish moss around it to act as insulation. I don't know how it will take to summers here. I'll probably leave the top off, at least during the hot part of the day.

I feed at ≈66 ppm N 3 out of 4 waterings. I'm not very consistent, though.

This is what happened to the original. It didn't recover.

A year and a half later the replacements are in bloom.

I now have three (from two sources), two are in bloom.


This one has 7 spikes in total.

This one has two spikes.
