Nice plant, Bud, but I agree with Even, that it isn't much different from Lpthps. astrophora. I would have trouble telling them apart. The foliage does appear to be a bit more lanceolate than astrophora, however.

Oh but there is a big difference ! Here are the pictures and you can tell there is a big difference.

Lpthps. astrophora from IOSPE photo is like a short cluster crisscrossing while my Lepanopsis Michelle photo is a long cascading grapelike clusters...the astrophora is dark violet while the Michelle is light lavender...they have the same size and form of bloom yet different in the inner coloring...both have shimmering petals

I have to photograph my plant again because my blooms are blurry...

And you're right, Bud, there is a big difference. As I said, the flowers look similar but the inflorescences are very different. Michelle looks much more densely flowered and compact while astrophora is pretty loosey-goosey. lol

Yeppers...Evan...but they have the same shape and texture and yours is darker in color mine is light and almost diaphanously transluscent in the light

I finally got a new digital cam and was able to capture a better picture that my iPhone did...but I am still learning to handle this machine and I am not a photographer LOL

2 and 3 are my favorites. Good job, working with a new camera. I'm discovering that it's not easy with these little ones.

Thanks, Ezil...give me a couple more days with this camera and I can maybe become a photographer lol...
yep these miniatures need a special lens...and I havent got a clue...I just make do with my new digital cheapo cam...
