Great flowers.
One of my favorites. Since I like it a lot, I ended up getting another one. They seem to like high light and yes, it has very good tolerance in dry conditions.

Thank you for posting P&S! definitively on my wishlist seeing I leave my baby 'chids for 6 weeks and always end up having a few in IC for the next year... this sounds like more of a ' Don't Touch' to orchid caretakers... Perfect! another one to add to " you know when y'r an 'chid addict... " thread

we have very humid summers and dry bitter winters in Manhattan...I will kill that plant if i put it outdoors...but I will grow it indoors and let it outside till it gets in the low 40F and if its freezing and snowing, I will let it indoors...just to let it feel the cold to bloom but not to let it freeze.

Thanks all of you for a good discussion. I too, was so afraid I would kill mine that I ordered another one a year ago. Both of them are thriving, but it had not occurred to me that this species would tolerate such cool temps. It's fantastic that in Greece you can grow them outside all year long. The pictures certainly show a stunning plant.

1€ is the same size as a quarter, I just checked. Although the € is just a hair smaller!
