thanks everyone for the nice compliments. life got busy, and i missed quite a few blooms this season. i hope this upcoming year will be different. i've also been working on improving my photography, trying to get things more in focus. and what not... so here's to a new season and some photos to start off:

cadetia chionantha

lepanthes calidictyon

lepanthes martinae

a regal looking pleurothallis mystax

stigmatostalix ibis

masdevallia exquisita

True!

Also, what are the conditions that you grow your Lep. calodictyon? Media and light especially.

wow. thanks for your comments. you really think i need to slap a watermark on them? i could, but that would really destroy the beauty of the photographs. maybe if the photos end up being stolen, that might be necessary--but for now, im taking precautions by reducing them to desktop resolution and reducing the original size by 75%--that way it's a win for everybody. like i said earlier, im still working on perfecting technique. draculas are working on flowers--cant wait to take pics of those!

@isurus: my lepanthes calidycton is currently growing on treefern, with small amounts of sphagnum surrounding the base. it is watered daily except in the case of winter, where it is watered every other day. it also grows on the side of a windowsill, northern exposure, amongst all the other miniature orchids in my collection. amazingly enough, the temperature range and microclimates of the windowsill allows me to grow pretty much everything---D. cuthbertsonii grows on the same rack, but is located closer to the windowsill, where it picks up drafts and cool air. to sum up my grow rack: from left to right, we have warm to cool. and from up to down, we have dry to wet.

sneaking a few more:

dendrobium cuthbertsonii

masdevallia picturata

masdevallia nidifica (made this one larger for detail reasons)

Default Pro photography!

I have seen lots of miniature orchid pics, but I honestly believe that these are some of the best I have looked at! Not only is your focus excellent, you have the ability to include appropriate background and obtain just the right perspective to appreciate these beauties - Wish you would shoot some of mine!
Really green from envy!
Steve
