Default Gastrochilus

I have two different Gastrochilus - calceolaris and sororius. They are located in my terrarium. G. calceolaris is flowering second time. I like these little beauties very much. Both plants are still growing new buds, so I can enjoy their flower long time. I don’t quite see differences between these orchids except G. sororius is bigger.

Beauties for sure, lush, healthy looking 'chids and bloomin' to boot.
Great growing!

Heli, I have G. somai (see my avitar) and G. calceolaris. Mine are in humid Orchidarium. I agree these are very pretty plants and active growers.

Nice! I'm going to need to get into these types of orchids some day. Thanks for sharing!

@Ludisia
There are differences between sororius and calceolaris. Both are often muddled up. Here an extract from Opera Botanica Nr. 95

I don't have literature for sororius. I hope I could help you.

@rsfrid somai is a synonym for japonicus.

Thanks for the picture Phil. The flower is amazing. Just hours ago I try to take close-up pictures for it.
