Masdevallia aurea
Small (6-7 cm) with colorful flowers that are a good size for the size of the plant and a sweet scent! Hard to ask anything more of a miniature:

Thanks for looking, Roly. Don't know what I would do if I lived in a warm climate like yours. Actually I did grow them in Houston for many years - indoors, in a wardian case that took advantage of the air-conditioning in the house in the summer.

I am trying with infracta and pinocchio which are more warmth tolerant to see how that goes. I might build a terrarium and put in a fogger and see if I can keep it in the cooler side.

Absolutely beautiful! I love these too but my growing conditions are too warm so, I'll just have to keeep on looking at the wonderful pics of the blooms.. Thanks for posting!
