Default Laelia sincorana

Now classified as Cattleya, I still think of it as a Laelia:

Gorgeous! I don't think I've ever seen the standard pink version (or even knew that it was pink) since most of the ones I've seen sold in Europe are the blue version. Like this one http://www.popow-orchids.com/ that I think I will order.

Really nice. Interesting to see that smaller paler one as well, this one really is a bright pink.

Very nice Ron. They show it listed at Santa Barbara Orchids and say its "temperature tolerant". I wonder if that means it can handle cold, or hot?

Thanks, Bill, Camille, Rosie, and Ants, for looking and commenting. I've never seen the blue version, Camille, only this, though the color varies, as you can see. As to tolerance, I would say they are more intermediate than cool growing, but about handling hot temps, I don't know, Ants.

Nice form, Ron! The petals on mine always pull back after a day or two.

Ron,
The darker lip one you have is quite nice. Some of the ones grown here are in an unheated greenhouse that gets down in to the low 40s. That doesn't say much though because they stay dry all winter.

Im going to try to establish one of the lesser forms to tree culture this spring.
