Restrepia elegans
Four blooms this time. Restrepia is one of those genera that everyone should have in their collection, IMHO: most species are very small, very easy to grow, and nearly everblooming. This one is on a 3" block of tree fern, grown intermediate, in bright shade. Thanks for looking!

That's really pretty Stephen! I've been wanting a Restrepia for a long time and just recently acquired Res. striata. They're just so cute.

Restrepias are pretty cool Pleuros.
I've kinda been wanting a few. We'll see what transpires...

So cool, I've never seen pics of these with more than one flower in the pic so it's great to see like that.
I have two Restrepias but I'm still not sure about caring for them. One of them did flower for me over the summer, I think the other has had too much sun though and while not burnt has changed colour on the leaves. Still got to find their 'happy spot'!

Actually I think you kinda want that color change. I've found all my Restrepia species bloom better when the leaves take on a reddish hue. That usually means higher light than you might think. Mine all grow six inches from a bank of T5 lights, with just a very thin layer of plastic window screening under the bulbs.

Interesting. I was worried about the one taking on that reddish hew but I'm glad to know it's not a problem. The leaves seem healthy otherwise it's just the colour so I won't worry so much.
I think now it's colder outside I need to bring them in from the greenhouse to get warmer, it's probably getting a bit cold out there for them.

Very nice, I echo Rosie, have never seen a picture with more than one flower. It looks great that way.
