Very cute little blooms.

There aren't any drain holes in the bubbles. The moss gets moistened as it starts to dry a little. These little Lepanthes are perfect for bubbles because they need constant moisture. They are definitele "indoors-only." They should be kept out of direct sunlight to avoid cooking the orchids.

As Duane stated there are no drain holes.
I originally hung them in my office which gets Southern light, but there is a large oak out there that was creating too much shade, so I moved them to my bedroom window that gets Northern light, but has honeysuckle growing on it, so they are getting medium filtered light and seem to be thriving!
My husband brought home a plastic bottle with distilled water in it and then I have a spray bottle with RO water. I keep them damp and they all seem to be fine as they are putting out new growths.

what about rot? It seems to me that it would not be that much air movement, but obviously it works.

So far no rot. I'll keep you posted.

I am so jealous! I have bought that exact plant from Andrea about 4 times and have killed them all
:-( I tried in the glass bulb and without. Please tell me how much water, what kind of light, etc. It seems you left it in the spagnum moss. Thanks for sharing your pics.

First off let me just say that I grow everything brighter than I should. I worried at first that the bedroom window would be too bright but alas it seems just perfect... At least so far.
About the watering... I use a small plastic bottle that has a small point at the end that my husband uses in the chemistry lab. I planted in all sphagnum moss and get it evenly damp. I check it daily and only water if it seems slightly dry. Usually I water every sunny day and avoid watering on the cloudy ones. I just recently started misting them instead, but haven't yet decided which method I should stick with.
Not sure if any of this helps...

Youre not alone, I feel your pain!

Im willing to give it another try though. I bought a fan that pushed too much air for my vivarium and battled keeping the air moving and cooler but drier or keeping it warm, stagnant and humid.

Definitely have to revamp everything this winter and get it fine tuned so Im ready next time Juan Carlos and Andrea come.

The people at Orquivalle sell these bubbles and teardrops in different sizes and will ship when they are in the States for shows.
