Default New Purchases!!!

I went to the Maine Orchid Society last night and Oak Hill Gardens came to talk and sell. Well, who can resist that? (Actually, he had me at hello!)
I bought four new plants that I had no clue about, but the spokesperson made it sound so good, "I had to have them!" After researching them this morning, I realize that some may be quite difficult to grow. I didn't hear the spokesperson mention that part. Oh well, great prices, plants look wonderful, it's been a long winter, and I'll give it a shot.
My new purchases are Galeottia grandiflora, Huntleya heteroclita, Dendrobium loddigesii (with 2 buds), and Coelogyne pandurata.

They're all so nice!

I would just LOVE to be at a meeting with one of the Oak Hill gang being a speaker

Lucky you, my friend

They all look great. I can't help with how you grow any of them though, good luck and I hope they do well for you.

Well hard to grow is a relative thing in some respects ... what is easy for one person can be incredibly difficult for another. I'd love to do the Coelgyne but most get too large and need cooler temps than I can provide.

The Oakhill folks do get around. Was Greg the speaker?

Good choices! The pandurata will turn into a monster - hope you have the space! I've been aching to try one but space is a real issue here. That huntleya will be stunning when it blooms
