That beautiful purplish tint that is common with some varieties just does not happen here in Florida during the warmer months. All you get with full sun is yellowish leaves. I believe it might have something to do with our high humidity and high night temps. It never gets below 70C from May to Oct. and every day is in the 90's. I will take your suggestion and give it a little more sun.
