Default Dendrobium oligophyllum

This very miniature plant was mounted on what looks like rain gutter guard when I bought it several months ago. The plant is growing on both sides. The flower is about 5/8" and is very long lasting. Since my greenhouse is getting too full, I seem to be filling my desire for more plants by acquiring miniatures. Sophronitis brevipedunculata is high on my want list and if anyone knows of a source for the plant, please let me know.

Hi Jerry

Jerry

Thanks for posting this unusual way to grow an orchid. This one seems to be a survivor. I have a backbulb in water culture with buds. The front section seems to be doing well in S/H too.

Jerry, this is my favorite Dendrobium

It just keeps going and going...and going some more!

Mine is mounted on cork but the way yours is done makes more sense to me and I may make a change with mine. The plant grows like crazy and has been on this piece of cork for a few years but it really isn't tightly attached, just enough to not fall off if it gets hit.

What to do...what to do
