Mine is in a clay pot, with a mix of bark and osmunda. Last year it gave me a couple of flowers, then seemed to tire out, though it's never lost leaves. This year's spike has perhaps 5 buds on it, which are getting fat and lovely by the day. It's a wonderful little bloomer when it gets on a roll.

well, thanks for the input ! ..I am looking forward to seeing everyones buds bloom...although, photographing the flowers without a decent macro is going to be an other adventure for me!!!

Default Update on Phal Lobbii blooming

Yahooooooo! the buds opened..
the first yesterday morning and the second this morning !!!
here they are ... sorry photos are not fab... I really need to get a new camera!
I was luck the sun was shining yesterday for the first photo, but it's cloudy today...will keep on trying

Default UPDATE - phal Lobbi

Well,
the third bud flowered & the flower fell off last weekend... BUT it has put out a new leaf & & & &...
A 2nd spike is forming !!!!
I believe this one really loves me!
Tindo I see what you mean about the flowering... do the parishii & gibbiosa do the same?
Here's a couple of pics..
Ist one is the 3rd & last flower on the spike, 2nd is how it is today, with the drying spike, the new one and the leaf which has continued to grow..
